A former Minneapolis police officer accused of the death of George Floyd was released from prison on bail of $ 750 thousand.
Dismissed Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who was charged with second-degree murder at the death of George Floyd, appeared in court on video in a preliminary hearing where the main evidence was presented. Another defendant, Tou Tao, was released from custody on bail of three quarters of a million dollars. He will face trial in September on charges of aiding and abetting a second-degree murder.
Two other former officers, J. Alexander Quang and Thomas Lane, remain in custody. All four officers accused of Floyd’s murder were fired and prosecuted.
