France officially approves Pfizer vaccine

France has officially approved the use of a vaccine against the coronavirus COVID-19 produced by Pfizer / BioNTech.

According to BFMTV, the country’s Supreme Health Authority (HSA) has approved the vaccine.

According to experts, the drug, developed by Pfizer and BioNTech, is safe and effective.

According to Health Minister Olivier Vérin, first doses of vaccine will arrive in France on 26 December. The vaccination of the population will begin the day afterwards.

Priority lists for the procedure will include elderly people living in nursing homes, as well as staff of the above-mentioned institutions. Later, citizens aged 16 and over will be able to receive the vaccine.
