Information provided by Russian scientists about the Sputnik V vaccine shows its effectiveness. French virologist Marie-Paul Kini stated this in a conversation with the Spanish newspaper El Pais.
“The data we have seen show that the vaccine is effective. We urged Russian scientists to publish the full results of their research in scientific journals as soon as possible to increase transparency and trust in the international community,” the epidemiologist said, admitting that the French delegation was convinced of the vaccine’s high effectiveness by more than one set of data.
Kini, head of the delegation of the French Scientific Committee on Vaccines COVID-19, stressed that we have to wait to fully understand the effectiveness of all vaccines – the situation will be clearer in a year.
On December 14, it was reported that the efficacy of the Sputnik V vaccine against severe cases reached 100 percent. This was announced by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
