Fully vaccinated U.S. citizens will be able to enter Canada

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Canada will allow fully vaccinated U.S. citizens to enter Canada starting in mid-August.

“Beginning in mid-August, we will begin allowing fully vaccinated U.S. citizens and permanent residents to enter Canada,” he said.

Trudeau noted that Canada continues to lead the G20 in vaccination rates, with about 80% of eligible Canadians receiving their first dose, and more than 50% fully vaccinated.

Canada has begun loosening existing restrictions, allowing fully vaccinated Canadians to return to the country without quarantine by presenting negative COVID-19 test results before returning.
