The performer of the role of the Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman, is buried near his hometown in South Carolina.
The actor died of colon cancer on August 28, 2020 in Los Angeles. He was buried on September 3 in Belton, South Carolina, about 11 miles from his hometown of Anderson, according to a death certificate obtained by the Associated Press.
The Marvel star now rests in the cemetery of Welfare Baptist Church in Belton.
The immediate cause of his death was identified as multiple organ failure, which was based on colon cancer diagnosed four years ago. Boseman underwent surgery to remove the tumor in 2016.
