On September 27, in the morning in Nagorno-Karabakh, a military conflict broke out, provoked by Azerbaijan. Events began to develop so rapidly that a general mobilization was announced in Armenia, and the parties suffered real losses both in equipment and in living people. A well-known political scientist from Germany, Alexander Rahr, believes that because of the Karabakh conflict, the world may be plunged into a big war between Russia (supports Armenia) and NATO (Turkey, a member of the Alliance, supports Azerbaijan).
The German expert sees only one solution to the problem – urgent negotiations between Moscow and Ankara and Brussels with Ankara.
At the same time, the media reported that the Azerbaijani side fired at a city in Armenia, which is not located on the disputed territory – Vardenis. Information confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
