Google banished Parler from Google Play

Parler is a social network popular among supporters of conservative ideas

Google has announced that it is removing the social networking application Parler from Google Play.

In a statement released by a Google spokesperson, Parler was previously warned against posting content that provokes violence, and the application will not be allowed on Google Play until it changes its moderation policy.

In turn, John Matzi, who manages Parler, told Reuters that Apple has threatened to remove the network from the App Store if Parler does not change its content moderation policy within 24 hours. Apple declined to comment on the topic.

Parler is a small social network popular among conservative users, where many Donald Trump supporters have migrated. It was founded in 2018.
