Google presented the world’s first tool that can translate hieroglyphs
Writes about it Cnet.
Translator Fabricius has appeared in the Arts & Culture app. It was created in collaboration with the Australian Center for Egyptology at Macquarie University.
It is noted that Fabricius will be useful to professional historians, anthropologists and Egyptologists.
“Until now, experts have had to dig through books by hand to translate and decipher an ancient language – a process that has remained virtually unchanged for over a century. Fabricius includes the first machine learning-based digital tool that decodes Egyptian hieroglyphs, ”said Google’s Culture and Arts Program Manager.
