Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo called on US President Donald Trump to stop making unconstructive statements amid protests in the United States.

Acevedo said this on the air of the American television channel CNN.

“Please, if you can’t say something constructive, cover your mouth. Because by doing so you endanger both men and women. It is about winning hearts and minds, not domination. We don’t want people to think that kindness is weakness … This is not Hollywood sir, this is real life sir, ”he said.

The Houston police chief advised Trump to think primarily about people’s hearts and remember that they voted for him.

Recall, the Pentagon noted that the deployment of an army to suppress protests in the US is inappropriate after Trump announced that if state or city leaders refuse to “take the actions necessary to protect the lives and property of their residents,” he will refer to the Uprising Act .

Note the Uprising Act of 1807 allows the president to deploy US forces to suppress civil unrest.
