Human rights activists counted 430 incidents with journalists during protests in the United States

Human rights activists report 430 incidents with reporters reporting on protests in the United States. Such data is published on Twitter U.S. Press Freedom Tracker, a non-profit organization that brings together more than a dozen independent groups of journalists.

According to the organization, these incidents include 59 arrests, 92 attacks – 57 of which by law enforcement authorities – 54 cases of using tear gas, 32 cases of using pepper spray, 90 cases of using rubber bullets, 57 cases of damage to editorial rooms or equipment, 46 other cases.

Recall, a wave of protests and riots swept across the United States after the death of African-American George Floyd at the hands of police in Minneapolis.
