A North Idaho Internet service provider is no longer allowing users to access the social networking sites Facebook and Twitter because of increased censorship.
Your T1 WIFI provider said it has decided to block Facebook and Twitter for customers because of increased algorithms aimed at censoring messages. The company provides Internet access to North Idaho and Spokane, Wash.
The decision came after Twitter and Facebook banned President Donald Trump from social media following the riots at the U.S. Capitol and began blocking more users because of comments and posts. According to KGW8, the decision could violate the net neutrality law in Washington state. The company said it plans to block Twitter and Facebook because the company has received complaints from customers.
“We have noticed that Twitter and Facebook are censoring our customers and information. Our company does not believe that a website or social network has the right to censor what you see and publish and withhold information from you without allowing you to see what your friends and family are posting,” the company said in an email to customers.
