A resident of the southern French department of Gard was forced to pay a fine for quarantine violation after walking with a cat on a leash, the portal 20 Minutes reported on Tuesday.
Against the backdrop of the rapid spread of coronavirus by decision of the French authorities, cafes, restaurants, cinemas and non-food stores were closed in the country. Since March 17, strict restrictions on the movement of people have been introduced, violators of restrictions face a fine.
In Gara, a drone is used to monitor compliance with gendarmes.
“With the help of this drone, a man was found walking a cat on a leash that did not look as if it was used to it,” the publication explains.
During the check it turned out that the resident of the commune of Gros du Roi did not have a form with him, the presence of which is now a prerequisite for any exit from the house, including for a walk with a pet. A walk with a cat on a leash turned into a fine in the amount of 135 euros to its owner.
