In Western Mexico, in the state of Nayarit, a tanker truck with liquefied gas exploded as a result of an accident. 12 people were killed. This was announced on Monday, November 16, by the state police on Facebook.
“The trailer was heading in the direction of Guadalajara, lost control and overturned in the middle of the highway, followed by an explosion,” the report said.
According to law enforcement officers, 12 people from four cars were killed, and another victim is in the hospital.
The Tepic-Guadalajara highway is closed in both directions until further notice. Investigations are underway at the scene of the accident.
