Mandatory wearing of masks in public places was introduced in Michigan, and victims of this measure have already appeared – one killed and another injured after a dispute over wearing masks in a store.
A client from Quality Dairy in Eaton County, Michigan, was shot dead by police after stabbing another visitor in a dispute for not wearing a mask – just a day after the new rule came into force.
A 43-year-old man entered a store without a mask and saw a 77-year-old buyer without a mask. There was a conflict that moved to the parking lot. It was then that a younger buyer stabbed an elderly American and tried to hide in a car.
He was later spotted on the road and stopped by the deputy sheriff of Eaton County. The suspect got out of the car and went to the officer with a knife, he opened fire.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. The injured 77-year-old man is alive, but hospitalized. Both incidents are under investigation by the Michigan State Police.
