In New York, curfew was extended for a day

Authorities extend the curfew in New York for a day, on Tuesday it will start at 20.00, the mayor’s spokeswoman Freddy Goldstein said on Twitter.

For the first time since the riots began, a curfew in New York was introduced on Monday. It began at 23.00 (6.00 Moscow time), but the protesters did not comply with it.

“Tomorrow, on Tuesday, June 2, a curfew will be imposed in New York from 8 p.m., it will expire at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3,” Goldstein wrote.

A wave of protests and riots swept through the cities of the United States after the death in Minneapolis at the hands of the African American police George Floyd.
