In Nueсes County, Texas, home of Corpus Christi, the number of new coronavirus cases rose sharply in July following a downward trend. At the same time, the virus has infected dozens of children, and local officials are urging people to wear masks and maintain distancing.
“We currently have 85 children under the age of one in Nueces County who have tested positive for the coronavirus. These children have not yet had their first birthday, ”said Annette Rodriguez, director of the county’s public health department.
