An eclipse will occur on Sunday, June 21, 2020, just one day after the summer solstice. The eclipse will pass through a narrow path through Africa and Asia and will be visible along the strip from Ethiopia to China and Taiwan. Unfortunately, the inhabitants of North and South America will not be able to see this eclipse, the ring will be visible only from northern Ontario and Quebec.
The “ring of fire” occurs when the moon closes the center of the sun, leaving the outer edges of the star open, forming a circle. You cannot look at an eclipse without eye protection.
