Transgender person Charlotte Clymer released a humorous statement that she will take over as U.S. Secretary of Education under the administration of President-elect Joe Biden.

In this case, many American media and citizens took Clymer’s joke seriously. This was reported by The Sun.

“There are rumors that President-elect Biden asked me to be his Secretary of Education, and I just want to confirm that this is true. His goal was to find someone more qualified than Betsy DeVos for the job, and oddly enough, I am,” Charlotte Clymer stated.

The LGBT activist noted that there are high school students more qualified for the position than she is.

Charlotte Clymer is a 34-year-old transgender woman from Texas. A Georgetown University graduate, she served in the U.S. Armed Forces from 2005 to 2012 with the rank of corporal.
