In the United States, a man came to the Democrats' headquarters, threatened to blow up and started a fire

In the United States, a man was arrested who threatened to blow up the Democratic Party headquarters in Spokane, Washington.

The incident took place on December 9. A man with a backpack, from which wires were sticking out, entered the building where the Democrats’ office is located and stated that he had a bomb. The police who arrived at the scene surrounded the house and all the people were taken out of it. The suspect was detained as he was leaving the headquarters and his backpack was no longer with him.

It is reported that at the same time, smoke was noticed in the Democrats’ office. EOD technicians were sent to the room and found out that the man did not actually have any bomb, but he managed to start a small fire. No one was injured in the incident.

The identity of the suspect has not yet been established. It is also not known what charges will be brought against him.

After the incident, Washington state democrats called on all elected officials to join in condemning the incident. They called the incident “a clearly politically motivated act of violence.
