According to The New York Times, the number of infections per day has increased over the past two weeks in 39 US states. On July 3, an anti-record was also set in the country, amounting to 57,497 infected. Over the past seven days, marks of 58 thousand and 60 thousand were passed.
In total, more than 12.2 million people were diagnosed with coronavirus infection in the world, about 555 thousand of them died. According to Johns Hopkins University, the United States ranks first both in the number of cases of infection (more than 3.17 million people) and in the number of deaths (133 969 people).
