A video game distribution company in the United States, Electronic Arts, has announced the new reality show The Sims Spark’d.
As part of the show, 12 of its participants will create characters in the Sims game, develop their stories, build houses and complete tasks. Participants will be judged by invited celebrities – singer Taila Parks, YouTube-based blogger Kelsey Impichchish and game developer Dave Miotke, who has been working on The Sims franchise for over a decade. The winner of the show will receive a prize of $ 100 thousand.
In total, 4 episodes of the show will be released, the first of which will be shown on July 17 on the TBS channel, later it will appear on the BuzzFeed Multiplayer YouTube channel.
Lindsey Pearson, general manager of The Sims franchise, said that the goal of the project is to attract new players. According to her, novice players with his help will receive tips on where to start getting acquainted with The Sims, as it happens when watching, for example, cooking shows.
