The Instagram application has a function for pinning comments on posts
It is reported by The Verge.
The social network started testing the function back in May, and now has made it accessible to all users.
The specified function allows any user to capture three comments for the publication (at the top of the comments section). This should help post authors moderate comments by emphasizing positive and making offensive posts less visible.
To pin a comment, swipe left to open options for what needs to be done with it (reply, report abuse, or delete). To the left of these options there is an icon that allows you to pin a comment (icon with a stationery pin).
Earlier on Instagram, there was a tool for mass removal of comments, which has existed for two months.
It is worth noting that over the past few years, Instagram has introduced many functions to improve tools to combat abuse and misinformation, in particular, the moderation of comments has increased significantly. The company currently uses artificial intelligence to automatically block offensive comments, as well as to alert users before they post potentially offensive or harmful comments.
