Apple is preparing to release a smartphone with a record-breaking battery.

The media refers to reports from Chinese sources. According to rumors, the U.S. company has not abandoned plans to introduce four smartphones next fall – iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. It is reported that the younger model iPhone 13 mini will get a battery capacity of 2406 milliampere hours, while the current model 12 mini has a battery of 2227 milliampere hours.

It is also known that the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 and 13 Pro will have improved batteries – with a capacity of 3,095 milliampere hours. By comparison, the current iPhone 12 and 12 Pro came out with a battery capacity of 2,815 milliampere hours. Finally, while the iPhone 12 Pro Max was equipped with a 3,687 milliampere-hour battery, its successor, the iPhone 13 Pro Max, will get a 4,325 milliampere-hour battery.

Thus, the battery capacity of Phone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max will increase by 8, 10 and 18 percent respectively compared to the current Apple devices. The increase in capacity will have a positive impact on the autonomy of the devices.

According to journalists, equipping smartphones with improved batteries is necessary, because many users of devices from the iPhone 12 series complained about reduced battery life. This could be caused by the presence of OLED displays and the introduction of 5G support.

At the end of May sources familiar with Apple’s plans said that all of Apple’s new smartphones will receive improved cameras with matrix shift function. At the moment, such an option is only available in the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max.
