Iran will hold military exercises in the southern parts of the country in the near future. This was announced by the commander of the Iranian Army’s ground forces, Brigadier General Qiumars Heidari, reports Mehr.
According to him, these exercises are to be conducted with the support of other Iranian forces. He explained that the exercises will be conducted to improve the combat readiness and defense capabilities of Iranian forces in the southeastern regions of the country and various other parts of Iran’s borders.
Referring to the Iranian Army’s recent large-scale drone exercise conducted in Semnan Province, the Iranian commander said: “This exercise showcased the Armed Forces’ latest achievements in aerial combat. It was a demonstration of our country’s capabilities under sanctions over the past four decades.”
He added that the use of various drones in said exercises today is one of Iran’s strengths against the threat of enemies. “One of the most important features of this unmanned unit is in the area of identification and online transmission of accurate information from enemy resources and equipment to our command headquarters,” he added.
