Israel-Morocco: Peace in exchange for US arms

US President Donald Trump has notified Congress of an arms deal with Morocco worth a total of $1 billion. This was reported on the night of 12 December by Channel 11 of the CAN Corporation.

As with other Arab countries determined to normalise relations with Israel, President Trump struck a deal with the King of Morocco along the same lines: peace in exchange for arms. In return for his agreement to normalisation, Morocco will receive the latest US weapons, including $1 billion worth of aircraft and drones.

On the night of December 12 Israeli time, the Trump government notified Congress of the promotion of this deal, which includes Sky Guardian-type drones, Hellfire missiles and other ultra-precise weapons.

These weapons are needed by the Moroccan army primarily to continue the fight against the Polisario Front, which has fought for 45 years for independence from Morocco for Western Sahara, whose occupation President Trump has declared legal, which was followed by his announcement to normalise relations between Israel and Morocco.
