An Israeli man died of a heart attack a couple of hours after being vaccinated against coronavirus infection.
The 75-year-old man, who lives in the north of the country, had long suffered from heart disease and some kind of malignant disease. He had suffered several heart attacks in the past, the health ministry said.
The man had been vaccinated against the coronavirus at his home, where he died a couple of hours later. The Department of Health has already appointed members of a commission to investigate the incident. So far, there is nothing to indicate that the man’s death is related to the drug, so vaccinations will continue in Israel.
At the end of October, one of the volunteers in a national trial of a coronavirus vaccine developed by Oxford University and the British-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca died in Brazil. The 28-year-old test participant died “as a result of complications from COVID-19.
