On the first weekend after the end of his presidential term, former American leader Donald Trump went to play golf.
According to the publication, the former president spent all of Saturday, January 23, playing golf at his club in West Palm Beach, Florida. Specifically, Trump, wearing a red cap with the slogan Make America Great Again (MAGA), was captured on video as he shot against a backdrop of palm trees.
Trump reportedly later returned to the Mar-a-Lago resort, where his estate is located. It is noted that there the former American leader was met by a crowd of his supporters with flags and placards.
Earlier in January, Trump promised to find a new occupation after the end of his presidency. His assistant at the time noted that he hoped the politician would “just play golf for a month.”
President-elect Joe Biden was inaugurated Jan. 20, becoming the 46th president of the United States. Outgoing Vice President Mike Pence attended the ceremony. Trump ignored the ceremony, breaking a 150-year tradition, and left Washington a few hours before the festivities. He left the capital for his residence at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. Before doing so, he said goodbye to his supporters and promised to return “in one form or another.”
