British Prime Minister Boris Johnson condemned the actions of the current U.S. president.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson sharply criticized the actions of U.S. President Donald Trump, who gathered a large protest rally against the election results and actually called on his associates to fight for the invalidation of the results of the American vote. All this led to riots, the storming of the Capitol and even a few casualties.
Johnson condemned Trump for inciting the public to riot and assured that he was the one bearing the consequences for the riots.
At the same time, the prime minister noted that the U.S. has always defended the idea of democracy, and the fact that Trump is questioning the results of free elections, discussing the choice of Americans and calling it unfair, directly contradicts these values.
Other British politicians have previously criticized Trump’s actions.
U.S. President-elect Joe Biden also blamed Trump for the riots and the loss of life. He said that Trump tried to use the crowd to disrupt congressional approval of the election results. The Democrat assessed what happened as chaos, and called its participants rebels and domestic terrorists.
