U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has been caught making phone calls to world leaders instead of President Joe Biden, according to The National Pulse.
The White House the day before published a press release about the phone call between Kamala Harris and French President Emmanuel Macron. Earlier, the politician had a conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The publication notes that it’s odd that the vice president is making contact with key world leaders just weeks after the new administration arrives. It calls into question Biden’s ability to fulfill his duties as president, the article adds.
Earlier, it was reported that Biden had his first phone conversation as U.S. president with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The American leader said he was concerned about the actions of Beijing. In particular, he touched on human rights, Hong Kong, Xinjiang and Taiwan. In addition, the two leaders exchanged views on confronting the coronavirus pandemic.
