A Kentucky couple is being held under house arrest for refusing to remain in quarantine after contracting the coronavirus.
Elizabeth and Isaiah Linscott are in custody at their home after one of them tested positive for the coronavirus and refused to sign documents supporting the isolation regime.
Elizabeth Linscott was sick with coronavirus, but did not want to isolate herself at home, then the authorities forced her and her husband to adhere to quarantine. The spouses wear ankle monitors that will alert law enforcement if they leave their home.
Lincott says she didn’t have any symptoms when taking the test, but planned to visit her parents and grandparents in Michigan. According to her, the couple did not agree with the wording in the documents they were asked to sign. However, a simple verbal agreement on safety was not enough for the health department.
