The killer of three policemen, who came on a call about domestic violence, was found dead. This was announced in his Twitter account by the head of the Interior Ministry Gerald Darmanen.
“The perpetrator was found dead. I am on my way to the scene,” the minister wrote in his microblog.
Earlier, Darmanen expressed his condolences to the families of the dead police officers. It is noted that the 48-year-old killer was wanted by more than 300 police officers. He fled after setting fire to his home, Le Monde reports.
Police officers were shot and killed after responding to a domestic violence call. The assailant’s wife is reported to be unharmed – she hid on the roof of the house. The death of three police officers and wounding of another became known earlier on December 23.
