North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has announced that the country’s five-year plan for economic development has failed on almost all fronts. The North Korean leader said this during a congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Kim Jong-un noted that the plan, which was to be implemented until the end in 2020, had failed to achieve its goals in almost all sectors. He stressed that the DPRK needs to strengthen the economy based on its own strength. It is noted that the next five-year economic development plan will be adopted at the Labor Party Congress that has begun in North Korea.
Earlier it was reported that for the first time in 10 years Kim Jong-un gave up his New Year’s resolution and sent a New Year’s card with congratulations to citizens. He had done so before in 2011.
