Liv Tyler talks about her uphill battle with the coronavirus

Hollywood actress Liv Tyler says battling COVID-19 has been an “emotional and psychological” experience for her.

Liv Tyler is another star who tested positive for COVID-19, comparing exposure to the virus to a “locomotive.” The actress and daughter of Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler shared the news on Instagram Friday with her children. “Reunited with my sweethearts, I’ve had a wild 2 weeks,” the 43-year-old “Lord of the Rings” star wrote.

Tyler said she contracted COVID-19 on New Year’s Eve. “I lived to 2020 protecting myself and my family. Did what I could, followed the rules to protect others. Suddenly on the morning of the last day of 2020, it was like I was swept away by a locomotive,” Tyler admits.

The rest of her family didn’t get sick. “There are so many strange elements to this disease. It affects everyone completely differently. I was very lucky, but I was in bed for 10 days. There are physical aspects, but also emotional and psychological aspects. It’s equally about your body and your mind. Every day is different,” the actress describes her illness.
