Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila delivered packages of masks to hospitals in rural Texas.

They brought cargo purchased by American car maker Lincoln. The company donated 110,000 face masks, which McConaughey and Alves loaded into their pickup truck and took to remote parts of the state where there is a particular lack of protective equipment.

A native actor from Texas thanked the company for the donation for hospitals in crisis due to financial and resource constraints.

Last month, the actor spent a virtual bingo night for the elderly at a nursing home and urged everyone to wear masks to prevent the virus from spreading.

Last year, during the California forest fires, McConaughey volunteered to feed rescue workers.
