First Lady Melania Trump is issuing a farewell message on her husband Donald Trump’s last day in office. “This has been the greatest honor of my life,” she said.
Melania Trump spoke about her four years in the White House during her farewell address to the American people Monday. In a seven-minute video speech, Trump thanked members of the military, law enforcement officials, guardians and others who have inspired her since she entered the White House in 2017. She highlighted her work, including her leading role in the Be Best Project to combat cyberbullying, opioid abuse and other issues facing America’s children.
“It has been my greatest honor to be the first lady of the United States. I have been inspired by the incredible Americans across our country who elevate our communities with their kindness and courage and kindness and grace,” the first lady said.
She also thanked health care providers for their efforts to fight the coronavirus. She urged Americans to “exercise caution and common sense to protect the vulnerable as millions of vaccines are now being delivered.”
“Be passionate about everything you do, but always remember that violence is never the answer and will never be justified,” Melania Trump concluded.
