Forward and captain of the Spanish “Barcelona” and the Argentine national team Lionel Messi has joined the flash mob #BlackOutTuesday against racism.
Messi posted a black square on his Instagram with the hashtag #BlackOutTuesday.
The essence of the action is that people were not supposed to publish entertaining posts on social networks on June 2 in protest against the death of African-American George Floyd in Minneapolis.
On May 25, Floyd died in police custody. One of the officers pressed the man with his knee to the ground, ignoring the detainee’s words that he could not breathe. Subsequently, an African American died in a hospital.
