Michael Pence refused to remove Trump from power

U.S. Vice President Michael Pence refused to remove Donald Trump from power. Impeachment of the still current U.S. leader was demanded by many Democrats. A letter with a corresponding statement from Pence to U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was circulated by the White House.

“I do not believe that this development is in the interest of our country or consistent with our Constitution,” Pence explained his decision with these words.

Recall, Pelosi called on Michael Pence to remove Trump from power by applying the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Earlier, Donald Trump called calls for impeachment a continuation of the witch hunt. According to the current U.S. president, the Democrats are making a “catastrophic mistake” by trying to remove him from power.
