Microsoft has launched an automatic upgrade of Windows users to a new version of the operating system. This is reported on the website of the corporation.
According to the information on the company’s website, at the first stage Microsoft will selectively update users’ computers with the help of artificial intelligence. The 21H1 or May 2021 Update, presented in late May, will first be rolled out to a limited number of users – so the company’s experts can work more efficiently on bugs that arise during the update.
“We have begun using our machine learning at all stages to intelligently deploy new versions of Windows 10 and ensure a smooth update,” corporate engineers said. The 21H1 or May 2021 Update will be available on all computers running Windows 10 versions 20H2 and 2004 whose users have specified in their PC settings to automatically receive updates. In this case, the update will have a forced character, the user’s participation is not required.
Microsoft will unveil its next-generation operating system on June 24. According to insiders, the new OS will be called Windows 11.
