The state commission of inquiry into the Mount Meron disaster began its work on Sunday, July 4.
The commission is headed by Miriam Naor, the former head of the BAGATC.
The commission’s representatives have requested a number of documents and materials related to the tragedy that claimed the lives of 45 people during the celebration of Lag Ba’Omer.
Recall that the government approved the creation of the commission on June 20.
“We will do everything in our power to prevent such a tragedy from happening again,” the statement said.
