Jens Stoltenberg is visiting the United States ahead of the North Atlantic Alliance summit.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is visiting Washington on June 7-8. The program of the visit includes a meeting between President Biden and the head of the North Atlantic alliance. Stoltenberg is also meeting with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and members of Congress.
On Monday morning, the NATO chief addresses the Atlantic Council, where the topic of his speech is the agenda for the upcoming NATO summit, including the alliance’s 2030 agenda, as well as the secretary general’s thoughts on the alliance’s future.
The NATO chief then meets with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon. In the afternoon, Stoltenberg is received at the White House by President Joe Biden.
