Nearly 40% of Americans Wash Bleach Products

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says Americans abuse bleach and other cleaning products to fight the coronavirus.

The results of the analysis showed that 39% of respondents wash products with bleach. Many also use caustic household cleaning or disinfecting agents to treat bare skin (18%), or intentionally inhale or swallow these products (10%). All these Americans believe that this will help them neutralize the coronavirus, if there is an infection.

Another 10% spray household chemicals on the body, 4% drink diluted bleach or soapy water as a disinfection measure.

Doctors of the CDC say that all these are high-risk practices that can cause adverse health effects and even death.
