Iran and the major powers involved in the 2015 nuclear deal will return to discussing the terms of resuming the deal, which former U.S. President Donald Trump abandoned in 2018. Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator told state television on Tuesday.
“The talks in Vienna were constructive. Our next meeting will take place on Friday,” Abbas Araqchi said.
He also added that Tehran will not suspend uranium enrichment to 20 percent fissile purity in exchange for the release of $1 billion of its funds blocked elsewhere because of U.S. sanctions re-imposed on Iran since 2018.
