Streaming service Netflix has acquired the rights to show Richard Linklater’s animated film Apollo 10½: A Space Age Adventure.
This is reported by Deadline.
The characters will be voiced by Jack Black, Zachary Levi and Glen Powell.
According to the director, the cartoon is partly inspired by his childhood. Linklater was 8 years old when Apollo 11 went into space.
Drawn and computer animation will be used for creation. No release date has been announced.
The plot will transfer to 1969, when the first manned landing on the moon took place. This event will be shown from the perspective of an astronaut and a child who lives near the NASA center.
