Recently discovered remains in a shallow grave in Texas are the body of the missing Vanessa Guillen, an ordinary from Fort Hood. Family lawyer Natalie Havan states that the initial examination confirmed the identity as well as the fact of the brutal murder of the soldier.
20-year-old Guillen went missing in April, she was last seen in the parking lot at the Fort Hood barracks, according to the US Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID). Her remains were found on June 30. Guillen was hammered to death in the weapons room where she worked. Her body was taken out of the base by her killer, Hawam said, citing official investigation data.
Gillen could not be identified by medical records because her face was beaten beyond recognition. Her remains were transported to the Air Force base in Delaware for identification.
The main suspect in the disappearance was identified as specialist Aaron David Robinson, who shot himself dead on Wednesday after a clash with investigators, police said Killin. Guillen was about to file a complaint against him about sexual harassment.
The lawyer believes that Robinson was furious when she told him about it. He killed a private soldier and called a woman with whom he had an affair to get rid of his body.
A woman named Cecily Ann Aguilar, the former wife of a Fort Hood soldier was arrested by Texas rangers following Guillen’s disappearance. She is in Bell County Prison, pending charges.
