New footage of George Floyd’s detention has appeared

Minneapolis police detained African-American George Floyd, whose death led to mass protests against racism. The recording was made by a policeman’s bodyguard.

The video of the detention is published by the Daily Mail.

The recording shows Floyd trying to get him into a police car with a gun to his head. The man asks not to shoot and warns that he has claustrophobia and anxiety.

Video from the chest cameras of 37-year-old police officer Thomas Lane and 26-year-old Alexander Cueng appeared in mid-July, but a Minneapolis judge ruled that it could only be viewed in the courthouse.

The staff joined the case at the request of Lane’s lawyer, who wanted to prove the innocence of his client. Lane and Cueng were the first two police officers to arrive at the Cup Foods store in Minneapolis, where Floyd was trying to pay with a counterfeit bill.
