New York prosecutor's office suspected of planning to take Trump to court

The New York prosecutor’s office intends to bring U.S. President Donald Trump to trial. That’s the suspicion shared by former Trump adviser Roger Stone .

“Left-leaning prosecutors in the Southern District of New York strongly intend to bring the president, and possibly his relatives, [former New York mayor and Trump attorney Rudolph] Giuliani and others, to trial,” Stone said. He did not rule out that the case could result in jail time for Trump, but stressed that the politician did not commit any crimes.

Trump’s former adviser also said there has been a massive effort by the left-wing camp against those who voted for and support the current U.S. president. “If you stood up for him, your words should be censored, you should be deprived of your bank accounts, while at the same time banning you from speaking out on social media. Maybe they’ll go further and say you should be barred from air travel or email,” Stone said.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi previously said that the U.S. House of Representatives would call on Vice President Mike Pence to remove Trump from power. Specifically, it is proposed to remove the current leader of the country on the grounds of incapacity, according to the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. At the same time, according to her, in the case of impeachment Donald Trump will not have the opportunity to run for president again.
