Now Any American Can Volunteer In Testing COVID-19 Vaccine

A new website has been launched that allows residents of the United States to register to participate in clinical trials of coronavirus vaccines. Now anyone can enroll in volunteers for clinical tests.

The site will handle enrollment for four major vaccine studies that are expected to begin this summer and fall, as well as any other follow-up checks. Created by the US Department of Health and Human Services, the Fred Hutchinson Research Center in Seattle has been selected as the focal point for vaccine clinical trials.

It is expected that the vaccine developed by Moderna, Massachusetts biotechnology company, will be tested first, tests begin as early as the end of July.

Despite some delays, trials of coronavirus vaccines around the world are progressing at an unprecedented pace, as researchers have been trying to achieve what usually takes years in months.
