Number of patients with unknown disease in India increased to 476 people

The number of patients with symptoms of unknown disease in the Indian city of Eluru (Andhra Pradesh) has increased to 476 people.

People are experiencing nausea, seizures and headaches. 322 patients are discharged, 153 are still being treated. Doctors confirmed that one man died from an unknown disease.

Three patients who were discharged became ill a second time.

Authorities ruled out the possibility that the disease could be transmitted from person to person, as well as through drinking water.

As India Today writes, among the causes of the disease are considered poisoning with organochlorine compounds.
