U.S. President Joe Biden will talk about his health after he undergoes a checkup in 2021. A statement from the White House is published by The Washington Post.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki noted that she has no information on the expected date of Biden’s visit to the doctor. She added that the American leader will surely receive a comprehensive report about his health and will make it public right away.

It is noted that the 78-year-old Biden is the oldest president in U.S. history. During the campaign, he promised to be “fully transparent in terms of health”. Thus the politician responded to the rhetoric of his election rival Donald Trump, who publicly doubted Biden’s mental acuity because of his advanced age.

Biden’s last health report was released in December 2019. According to the three-page document, the president was being treated for irregular heartbeat, gastroesophageal reflux and seasonal allergies. The treating physician reportedly described the politician as healthy and energetic.

According to the report, Biden regularly takes blood thinners as well as over-the-counter medications to treat reflux. The U.S. leader does not consume alcohol or tobacco products and works at least five days a week.
