Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress Nancy Pelosi suggests that President Donald Trump’s ignoring of Russia’s “misconduct” is due to the Russian side’s incriminating evidence of the American leader.
“I don’t know what Russia has on the president politically, personally or otherwise, but he wants to ignore Russian misconduct,” Pelosi said.
She considered it “completely outrageous” that Trump did not respond to intelligence reports about Russia’s connection with the radical Taliban movement (the organization is banned in Russia) in Afghanistan. In addition, the speaker called Trump a “gift” for Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Earlier, the newspaper The New York Times, citing a source in American intelligence, wrote that Russia urged Taliban militants to attack international coalition troops in Afghanistan. The Russian side denies this information, the Taliban movement also claims that the published information is not true.
